Report Policy
Last Updated: October 2025
1. Why Reporting Matters
User reports are a critical part of how Mongjee maintains a safe platform. Every user has the ability and responsibility to flag content or behaviour that may violate Mongjee's policies. All reports are taken seriously and reviewed by our moderation team.
2. What You Can Report
User profiles — fake identities, impersonation, inappropriate profile photos or bios.
Product listings — counterfeit goods, prohibited items, misleading descriptions, or fraudulent pricing.
Livestream content — prohibited items on stream, inappropriate behaviour, illegal activity, or hate speech.
Chat messages — harassment, threats, hate speech, spam, or links to harmful content.
Private messages — threats, harassment, or solicitation of illegal goods or services.
Orders — suspected fraud, manipulation of the escrow system, or misuse of the dispute process.
3. How to Submit a Report
In-app reporting: Use the "Report" option available on user profiles, product listings, and livestream pages. Select the relevant category and provide a brief description of the issue.
Email: Send a report to [email protected] with the subject line "Content Report — [Type]". Include the username, order ID, or link to the content, and a description of the violation. Screenshots or screen recordings are welcome but not mandatory.
4. Report Review Process
Acknowledgement: Email reports receive an acknowledgement within 24 hours. In-app reports are silently queued for review.
Triage: A moderator reviews the report and determines priority. Urgent reports (active illegal livestream, threats of violence) are escalated for same-day review.
Investigation: The moderator reviews the reported content against platform policies and may contact both parties for further information.
Decision: A determination is made within 3 business days for standard reports and 24 hours for urgent reports.
Action: If a violation is confirmed, enforcement action is taken. The reporter is notified of the outcome where possible.
5. Confidentiality
The identity of the reporter is kept confidential and is not shared with the reported user, except where disclosure is required by law.
6. False Reports
Submitting knowingly false reports to harass other users or abuse the reporting system is a violation of Mongjee's Terms of Use and may result in account suspension.
7. Escalation to Authorities
Where reported content involves illegal activity — including child exploitation material, human trafficking, terrorism, or credible threats of violence — Mongjee will report the matter to the relevant law enforcement authorities and preserve associated account data as required by law.
