KOL Registration Policy

Last Updated: October 2025

1. What is a KOL on Mongjee?

A KOL (Key Opinion Leader), referred to on the platform as a Personal Shopper, is a verified individual who uses Mongjee to list products sourced from physical shopping trips, conduct live shopping streams, and earn payouts for completed orders. KOLs serve as trusted intermediaries between Buyers and overseas markets.

2. Eligibility

To register as a KOL / Personal Shopper, you must be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid government-issued photo ID, have an active verified Mongjee account (standard user registration completed first), not be prohibited from operating a commercial activity in your jurisdiction, and agree to the Terms of Use, this KOL Registration Policy, and the Content Monitoring Policy.

3. KYC Verification Process

All Personal Shoppers must complete a four-step Know Your Customer (KYC) process:

Step 1 — Legal Identity: Enter your full legal name as it appears on your government ID and select your ID type (National ID, Passport, Driver's License, or Resident Permit).

Step 2 — Government ID Upload: Upload clear photos of the front and back of your government-issued ID document (JPG, PNG, or PDF).

Step 3 — Selfie Verification: Upload a selfie of yourself holding your ID document to confirm the ID belongs to you.

Step 4 — Social Links (Optional): Provide links to your social media profiles (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) or website to help establish your credibility.

After submission, your application enters a review queue. You will receive an in-app notification once your KYC status is updated.

4. Admin Review

All KYC submissions are reviewed by a Mongjee administrator. The review verifies the document is genuine, legible, and not expired; confirms the selfie matches the ID photo; cross-checks against previously rejected or banned accounts; and reviews social links where provided. Typical review turnaround is 1–3 business days. Mongjee may request additional documentation if the initial submission is incomplete.

5. Approval and Rejection

Approved: The account is granted Personal Shopper status immediately. The shopper may begin listing products, creating trips, and going live.

Rejected: A rejection reason is provided in-app. Common reasons include blurry or incomplete documents, selfie mismatch, or suspected identity fraud. Applicants may resubmit with corrected documents.

Repeated fraudulent submissions will result in a permanent ban.

6. KOL Responsibilities

Approved Personal Shoppers agree to keep personal and banking information up to date, only list products they genuinely intend to source and deliver, price listings honestly, comply with all applicable customs and import/export regulations, maintain livestream content within the Content Monitoring Policy guidelines, and respond to Buyer messages and order updates in a timely manner.

7. Bank Account for Payouts

Before receiving earnings, Personal Shoppers must register a valid bank account or connect a Razorpay account via the Bank Settings page. Payouts cannot be processed to unverified accounts.

8. Suspension and Removal

KOL status may be revoked if a Personal Shopper violates platform policies, accumulates unresolved Buyer disputes, engages in fraudulent activity, or becomes the subject of a legal investigation. Revocation may be temporary or permanent at Mongjee's discretion.
