About Mongjee
Our mission
Plenty of things are only sold in one country, or only over one counter. Mongjee exists so that the person already standing in front of that counter can buy it for you, and so that you can pay them without either of you having to trust a stranger with money.
Who we are
Mongjee is a small team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are new: the app is where the product is, this site is where the rules are written down, and we would rather tell you that plainly than describe a community we have not built yet.
How it works
A shopper announces a trip, saying where they are going and when, and buyers follow it. Items get posted as they are found, buyers ask questions underneath them, and nothing on a trip can be bought until the trip actually starts. It is closer to following someone than browsing a catalogue.
Our commitment
Every Personal Shopper passes an identity check, reviewed by a person, before they can list anything or take a payout. Every payment is held in escrow and released only when the buyer confirms the item arrived. Our fees are published in full on the Fees page, including a worked example, because a marketplace that is vague about its own cut is telling you something.
