Fees
Last updated September 2026
Two fees.
Both shown upfront.
Mongjee charges the buyer a service fee and the shopper a commission. There is nothing else: no listing fee, no subscription, no charge for posting a trip or joining.

Why the small orders are flat
Every order costs roughly a ringgit to process, whatever it is worth. A straight percentage on an RM15 order would not cover that, so below the threshold a flat fee takes over. The thresholds are the exact break-even points, which is why they are RM34 and RM40 rather than round numbers.
On an RM200 item
| Line | Buyer pays | Shopper receives |
|---|---|---|
| Item price | RM200.00 | RM200.00 |
| Buyer service fee (3%) | + RM6.00 | — |
| Shopper commission (5%) | — | − RM10.00 |
| Total | RM206.00 | RM190.00 |
Payment processing is absorbed by Mongjee rather than added as a line. The shopper's commission is a matter between them and Mongjee; a buyer is never shown it, and it is never added to what they pay.
What the fee covers
Escrow
Payment is held until you confirm the item arrived. Marking it received is what releases it, and nothing else does.
Verified shoppers
Every shopper passes an identity check before they can list anything or be paid.
Trips, not guesses
A shopper posts where they are going and when. Items on a trip cannot be bought before it starts, so nothing sits in escrow for months.
No subscription
Nothing is charged for browsing, following, posting a trip, listing an item, or messaging. Only a completed order carries a fee.
Questions about a fee?
Every charge is itemised before you pay and on the order afterwards. If one does not look right, tell us and we will go through it with you.
