How it works

Two sides of the same trip.

Somebody travelling, and somebody who wants what they can reach. One account can be both.

If you are buying

    Shoppers post where they are going and when. Follow a trip and you see what they find as they find it.

  2. 02Or just ask

    Looking for something specific? Search shoppers by what they know, send a request, and they set the price.

  3. 03Pay into escrow

    Your payment is held, not forwarded. It reaches the shopper only when you confirm the item arrived.

If you are travelling

  1. 04Get verified

    An identity check before you can list anything. A person reviews it, and you are told what happens either way.

  2. 05Post what you find

    Add items to a trip as you go, write updates along the way, and answer buyers in the comments.

  3. 06Get paid

    When the buyer confirms the item arrived, your payout is released to your bank, less commission.

Why Mongjee

Built for buying from a stranger.

Buying from a stranger abroad

Where your money sits.

Mongjee holds the payment for the whole trip. The shopper is paid when you say the item turned up, and not before.

  1. Step 1

    You pay

    The money leaves your card and stops at Mongjee. The shopper is told to go and buy, and is shown nothing they can withdraw.

  2. Step 2

    They source and ship

    You can message them the whole way. If they cannot find it, the order is cancelled and you are refunded.

  3. Step 3

    You confirm it arrived

    Only this releases the payout. Not a shipping label, not a delivery date, not time passing. Nothing else does it.

  4. Step 4

    If it goes wrong

    Raise it before you confirm and email us. Report any listing, update, comment or account from inside the app, and a person reads it.

Released before you confirm

There is no timer that pays a shopper out, and no way for them to mark your order received on your behalf. Shipping it does not release anything either.

A government ID, reviewed by a person, before they can list a single item or receive a single payout.

  • No listing fee, no subscription. Posting a trip, updates and items is free.
  • Commission is taken only from a completed order: RM2 under RM40, 5% above it.
  • The buyer pays into escrow before you buy anything, and it is released to you when they confirm it arrived.
