Content Monitoring Policy

Last Updated: October 2025

1. Purpose

Mongjee is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and lawful environment for all users. This policy describes the standards we apply to all user-generated content on the platform — including product listings, livestreams, chat messages, and profile content — and explains how violations are identified and addressed.

2. Scope of Content

This policy applies to all content generated by users, including product listings (titles, descriptions, images, prices), livestream video and audio, in-stream chat messages, private messages between users, profile photos and display names, and trip descriptions.

3. Prohibited Content

The following content is prohibited on Mongjee:

Sexual, pornographic, or explicit material of any kind. Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. Harassment, intimidation, threats, or bullying. Content promoting illegal activity (drug sales, fraud, human trafficking). Listings or livestreams featuring counterfeit goods, weapons, or narcotics. Disinformation, deceptive product claims, or false pricing. Content infringing third-party intellectual property. Spam or unsolicited promotions. Content involving minors in any inappropriate or commercial context. Graphic violence or self-harm content.

4. Monitoring Mechanisms

KYC Pre-screening: All Personal Shoppers must pass identity verification before listing products or going live. This ensures content creators are traceable, verified individuals.

Admin Review Queue: New KYC applications, flagged listings, and reported users are reviewed in a dedicated admin backend by authorised staff.

User Reporting: All users can report content or profiles they believe violate this policy. Reported items are queued for priority review. See the Report Policy for details.

Reactive Monitoring: Administrators monitor active livestreams and may intervene to terminate streams that violate content standards.

Chat Moderation: Livestream chat is monitored during active sessions. Administrators can pin, remove messages, or mute participants.

5. Admin Control Platform

Mongjee operates an admin backend accessible only to authorised staff. It provides KYC submission review (approve or reject with documented reasons), KYC rejection history logs, order management and dispute intervention, user account management (suspend, ban, or re-activate), stream monitoring and logs, payout oversight, and platform-wide settings management. All admin actions are access-controlled and logged.

6. Enforcement Actions

When a content violation is confirmed, Mongjee may take one or more of the following actions depending on severity: content removal, formal warning, temporary suspension, permanent account ban, or reporting to law enforcement where the content involves illegal activity.

7. Appeals

Users who believe enforcement action was taken in error may appeal by contacting [email protected] within 14 days. Appeals are reviewed by a senior administrator not involved in the original decision, with outcomes communicated within 5 business days.
